Selling company stock

Ugh, I’m not happy about this. I know that if prices go down, then you can buy low and sell high. But my step-father has some stock that he wants to sell. It was stock he received from a company he worked at years ago. It was from a profit sharing plan. The company used the money as a bonus so the employees had no out of pocket costs. Anything he gets from his sale will be pure profit.

However, right now his old company is going through some growing pains. I’m sure they could use some corporate performance management help to right their ship. I know my step-dad hopes they do something so their share price will go back up. He’s hoping to get enough money to buy a new car. I don’t even know what type of car he wants but I do know he wants to pay cash.

Empty seats at sporting events

Of course I’m watching the Steelers game and I’m amazed and a little ticked off at all of the empty seats that I see. Steelers tickets are so hard to get. This year the team decided to sell all of their excess seats on the internet. I wasn’t happy with that because you know the majority of tickets would be bought by scalpers.

All games are now sold out and you can’t find tickets. Then you watch the game and there are empty seats throughout the stadium. Some of those seats belong to the season ticket holders who didn’t go. But I bet some of those tickets are in the hands of scalpers.
