I hate google

I refuse to even capitalize the name of this company. I am so angry right now. They have decided that if you write paid posts, they are going to reduce your page rank. Of course advertisers use page rank to determine how popular your site is. This is faulty in and of itself, but it’s what has been working.

The thing that is really pissing a lot of people off is that if you use “their” adsense program, they’re not devauling your blog. Even though that program pays next to nothing for blogs. If you have a regular website you might do ok but most blogs are done. Meanwhile the webmasters over at the “g” place are sitting back laughing. I’d like to take a Nike golf club and smack their desks and scare em’ half to death.

No I wouldn’t actually hit them. But boy am I imagining it.

Writing challenges

Are you participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) or NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)? I’m wasn’t formally participating in either one. I say formally because I try to update this blog daily anyway.

So of course I decide to write every day in November and I messed up yesterday. I posted late at night close to midnight. However the time stamp is off on my blog so it posted for the 15th instead of the 14th.

I didn’t think November would be a good month for me for this challenge anyway. With  2 U.S. holidays I figured I would miss some days anyway. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

It’s worse than we thought

I wrote yesterday about how some of the cars in my neighborhood had been vandalized. We thought they broke a couple of windows and egged cars and that was it. It was worse than that. It looked like they took baseball bats to some of the cars. They had smashed in windows, smashed bumpers and put dents all over their cars. Some of those cars will need serious dent repair to get their cars back in shape.

It also looked like some of the cars had been keyed. That’s where you take your keys and just scrape along the side of a car. All of this without provocation or anything. I did see on the local news where it was happening a week or so ago in another neighborhood. But it’s never happened in our area and I’ve lived there for 6 years.

I hate to say I’m glad I don’t have a car right now but I really am.
