What’s up with the BlogRush widget?

I was angry the other day when I noticed that my BlogRush widgets weren’t showing up on my blogs. Now today they’re showing. I guess it was a glitch on the end of BlogRush. I do know that it’s annoying because it’s happened before that the widgets just weren’t showing up on blogs. I wish they would send out updates to let you know what’s happening.

Where are my tax forms?

I’m looking for my tax forms. I know that companies have until the end of January to mail them out but I was hoping that they would come sooner rather than later. I don’t have my w-2 from work yet. I do have my stock and interest forms. I also have the form I need to deduct my student loan interest and the form to take the Lifetime Learning Credit.

I think they messed up on that though because they’re saying I paid one amount including the money I spent for spring. They didn’t count what I spent last spring. So I’ll have to go back and get those papers because I didn’t deduct that money last year. I didn’t get the forms from the community college yet. I need those because that’s another $380 to deduct. One of my blogging companies owes me a 1099 because I made over $600. So I guess I’m waiting for 2 papers to come in.

I hope I get a refund because that money can go towards vacation. We’re looking at cruises but we don’t want to spend a lot of money. A four or five day cruise would be nice. I also want to use some of the refund to pay towards the principal of my car. That’s assuming that I get a refund at all. I won’t know until I get all of my tax forms. I hope they come in soon.

Football Sunday

I’m sitting here watching the Patriots and Chargers game. I’m really rooting for the Chargers because I don’t like the Patriots. Then later on this afternoon, it’s the Packers and the NY Giants. I’m rooting for the Packers in that game. Both games will determine who gets to play in the Super Bowl. It’s win or go home this time of year so every game is important.

My boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go to a game because he would buy some college football tickets. I was like dude the college season is already over. He doesn’t really like football so he wouldn’t know. He’s more of a baseball fan which is cool because I like baseball too.

Speaking of which, pitchers and catchers report when?

BlogRush WTH?!?!?!

What the heck happened to my BlogRush widget?!?! They just disappeared from 2 of my blogs with no warning. I know they kick certain blogs out of the network and that’s fine. I mean if you don’t think my blog is worthy, then by all means kick it out of your network. I’m just sayin’ - a courtesy email would have been nice. Kwim?

Oh well, eff em!

Mmmm Grey Poupon mustard - My review

I love giving my opinions about things. So when I was asked to try these Grey Poupon Mustards and give an honest review, I was more than happy to oblige. I got 2 different samples to try. Grey Poupon Harvest Coarse Ground which is made with whole mustard seeds. To be honest I wasn’t too geeked about trying it. It looked kinda like honey or something. The other sample was regular Grey Poupon Hearty Spicy Brown mustard. You know, the regular Grey Poupon that you’re used to seeing.

The first challenge was to find something to put them on. I don’t cook so I didn’t have any food. However my supervisor frequently takes pity on me and brings me food. She made a ham on Tuesday and gave me 3 pieces. Perfect! I brought some to work for lunch and brought the mustard containers with me.

I tried the harvest coarse ground first. It was good but it tasted different than what I was used to. I mean you could actually feel the seeds on your tongue which was kinda weird. However, the mustard was good with a slight twang. Then I tried the regular Grey Poupon spicy brown mustard. It was delicious. Spicy just the way I liked it. I love spicy mustard and I get it on everything from chicken to my personal favorite hotdogs.

I’m glad I had a chance to review the products but the even better part is that I have 2 containers of mustard at home to use. I plan on having John make me something to put it on this weekend.

What’s up with the new Pepsi Stuff game?

I’m an avid Pepsi drinker. I mean I have 2 or 3 per day and it doesn’t matter if it’s regular, diet, or my new favorite Pepsi Max. So I was psyched to read that there was a new game starting February 1st.

The problem? There are no rules that I can find yet. And the only “prize” that I can find right now is 5 cap codes for 1 Amazon music download. Ummm excuse me while I do a cartwheel (please note the sarcasm). You can enter your caps to win prizes like trips, cash and electronics. The instant win is a free soda. Of course, it’s probably buy-one-get-one like the last several promos.

I really love Pepsi but their contest/promotions or whatever you want to call them really suck anymore!

Forum spammers

Man do they suck. You know the people that I’m talking about: the ones that come to the forum with the links to their sites in their signature then they comment on each and every subject on the forum. Is that bad? Yes it is.

Some of the comments make no sense. “I agree” to every single post. Or how about “Hey check out these commodity brokers here”,  on a forum about paying off debt. It makes no sense. Or my personal favorite, commenting on posts from over a year ago with no new information. Hey I realize everyone is new to forums so they may look at old messages to comment on and that’s cool. It’s the people who are just looking to get their links out there that are pitas.

Be honest, when you see those types of comments does that make you want to visit that persons’ site?

I mailed my bill late

Again. Luckily this bill does not appear on my credit report so I don’t have to worry about it affecting my credit score. I check my credit report twice a year so I know what information appears on it and what does not.

I had the bill in my bag for 3 days but I kept forgetting to fill out the check and throw it in the mail. I do that with all of my bills too. I get paid every two weeks and I have my bills seperated so I know what to mail and when so it’s not late. But I usually don’t mail the stuff unless it’s rent or a credit card payment. You know, the stuff that’s really important. I don’t know why I procrastinate on this stuff but I do.

I won’t even talk about my checkbook that I haven’t balanced in almost a month. It seems like I don’t care about my money but I’m actually very anal about it. I keep my checkbook balanced to the penny. I’m about to do it right now and I know it’s gonna take me almost an hour to complete.

What do you have planned for the long weekend?

This coming Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. day so it will be a 3 day weekend me and John. We both work at a bank so anytime there is a holiday, we’re both off. We probably won’t be doing anything because John just moved and he’ll be moving again in another month or 2. So he just put out a month of rent and a security deposit (which he’ll lose). Now he’ll need another security deposit.

His money will be tight and mine is always tight. Therefore, I doubt very seriously if we’ll do anything at all this weekend. On Sunday, we’ll probably watch football all day. We may go to Wally World to get food, juice, and auto accessories (I need a new car emergency kit) for my car. Other than that, we’ll probably just sit around the house and stare at each other all weekend.

I wish I had some extra money so we could take a short trip somewhere this weekend. I hate letting long weekends go to waste. Especially since we’ll both be in school starting in the summer so we won’t be able to do a lot.

I am so tired of taking meds

I’ve been sick for the past week. I’ve taken an entire box of Benadryl, another box of Dayquil, some Sudafed and a few Nyquil tablets. In addition to that I’ve had tea and orange juice out the wazoo. I’m just starting to feel better even though I still have trouble breathing at night.

My poor nose was so raw that I looked like Rudolph and man did it hurt. All of the skin peeled and it looked like dry boogers around my nose but it was peeling skin. The lady at the store felt so sorry for me that she gave me a free pack of tissues with lotion in them. It was kinda funny watching little kids reactions to me as I walked around the store.

You know how Walmart sells those wholesale flowers? My boyfriend was gonna grab me a bunch to make me feel better. He was asking me if I like roses but I really didn’t want him to buy them so I kinda played it off like “eh, they’re ok”. He also wanted to take me out to eat but I didn’t want to hack and cough and blow my nose all over the restaurant. I know other people do it but I hate to hear it so I sure wasn’t gonna do it.

I’m just glad I’m feeling better. Even though that means I have to stop wearing my hair wet every day. I’m gonna miss that because it’s convenient. But it sure as heck beats being sick!
