Insane Random Ramblings

I think one of my friends figured out that I have a “thing” for one of my other friends. I won’t act on it because I think it’s just a passing fancy and he is way too good of a friend for me to mess it up. It’s weird because I never thought of him like that. Well, actually I did but I never acted on it and that was over 5 years ago. It’s just strange that it’s manifesting itself right now.

I don’t even know what made that song pop into my head either. It’s funny because I was sitting at my desk and I just broke out singing the song karaoke style. Then I realized that I was singing out loud and I just sat here and started giggling. I used to love that song too so that made it even more amusing.

Now I just have to figure out how to transfer those feelings and not act on them.

That’s just my normal routine. I knew that I would fall too. I saw the ice but it looked like I only needed to make 3 or 4 steps to get over it. Well I got one step and I did the Charlie Brown where my feet went straight up into the air and I fell on my backside. That was after I did a James Brown slide on the ice. Then I had to roll over like a turtle to get up off of the ice. It was a mess. I looked around after I got up but it was more to make sure that nothing had fallen out of my bag rather than worrying about who may have seen me fall.

It was actually quite comical now that I think about it.

And it’s not even a lot of money either. It’s only about 10K and that’s before some bills get paid. I have at least 4 family members calling and asking about money like it’s growing on trees. When I say no they want details and descriptions on why I’m saying no. First off I don’t owe anybody anything. Well except for my credit card company but that’s another story. Secondly, I don’t owe anyone an explanation of how much money we’re getting or what I plan on doing with that money.

People’s true colors are starting to show and it’s not very pretty.

Hahaha! I ripped my pants one day last week. I took them home, washed and ironed them and wore them yesterday. Yes I wore them again with the rip in them. Anyway I need to wash the clothes that I brought back from NJ because they’re filled with a smoke smell. Unfortunately I strained my back over the weekend and I can’t walk up and down the stairs that many times in one day. So I wore the dirty pants today since my other clothes are really dirty.

Hopefully my back will feel better later on today so I won’t have to wear dirty clothes again tomorrow.

First let me say that I fall a lot. Most of the time it’s just because I stumble over something but often it’s because I’m just not watching where I’m going. I haven’t fallen in at least a year so in a way I’m “due”.

Yesterday after work I was walking to my bus stop when I saw a puddle of water on the sidewalk. It’s freezing cold outside and that was the only puddle in sight. In hindsight it should have sent up a red flat, but it didn’t. I went to step into a deep part of the puddle when my foot starting sliding on the ice. The whole puddle was actually a ice patch. So much so that if I had been wearing any lacy corsets or garter belts, I would have been showing all of my goods to any passerbys on the street.

Anyway I grabbed the wall to steady myself and manuevered out of the puddle. From now on I’ll be on the lookout for those deceiving puddles on the ground because the next time I may not be as lucky.

Ughhh the weather really took a turn for the worse. I do know that it’s December so it’s time for Winter but what a difference a week makes. Last week this time it was in the 40’s and sunny. For the past few days it’s been in the low 20’s with a windchill in the teens. It’s also been very windy and snowing.

I had to go in my closet for my cold weather gear. I had to put away the t-shirts and short-sleeved shirts and grab my sweaters and heavy shirts. I also had to find my Hats, gloves and scarf sets. This is also the time of year that I realize that I don’t own a good pair of winter boots. I do have boots but they’re girlie with 2 or 3″ heels. They’re definitely not made for snow.

I’m already dreaming about Spring and Summer.

Yesterday my coworker and I were waiting for our food in a pizza shop. The tv was turned to CNN. They did a “power ranking” of the most dangerous cities in the country. I knew Camden would be at the top and they didn’t disappoint. They were #2 for violent crimes for a city of its’ size. The number #1 most dangerous city is St. Louis which kinda surprises me. I didn’t think St. Louis was that bad.

The top five “winners” are:

1. St Louis, Missouri
2. Camden, New Jersey 
3. Detroit, Michigan
4. Flint, Michigan
5. Oakland, California

Hold your head up high Camden. You’re no longer The Most Dangerous City. Can you feel the sarcasm coming off of my keyboard?!?!?!

I was walking towards my bus stop after work and I noticed a large group of teenagers on the opposite side of the street. That’s not really unusual since most of them are hanging out downtown for a few hours after school. I was surprised by the sheer number of kids though.

Just as I got close to them, I heard alot of shouting and noticed that there was a lot of movement into the street. I turned my head and saw 2 seperate fights and both fights were girls. In the one fight, I saw the smaller girl trying to rip off the larger girl’s shirt.

I stayed on my side of the street and kept walking. I didn’t want to get caught up in the madness. I hadn’t even taken 10 steps when the first police car showed up. By the time I had gotten almost a block away, there were already 3 cars with several police officers.

While I’m curious as to what eventually happened, I wasn’t about to stand around and watch it. It always seem to be the innocent bystanders that get caught up in the madness and I wasn’t gonna let that happen to me. 

We meaning the bus that I was riding on. Luckily nobody was hurt and there were only minor scratches to the car but it was still crazy. We were near the preschool furniture store bus stop when a suv pulled out of a convenience store parking lot and the bus side-swiped him. Actually the bus barely grazed the truck. The mirror on the bus did scratch the paint of the suv. We had to sit there for almost 10 minutes while they exchanged information.

The worse part of the situation is that the bus driver will get a mark on his service record even though it was totally the other guys’ fault.

I remember when Mr McNasty hands first showed up. Then he went away for a few days and then he showed up again. I thought he was weird then and I always stay vigilent when he’s around.

Well I was talking to someone that I catch the bus with and she noticed that he was strange as well. She said he wears a Taco Bell uniform but sometimes catches the bus downtown. There is no Taco Bell anywhere near downtown. Then she said that he was just acting weird in general on the bus like she expected him to start mumbling about ls2208 codes or something. She then told me to watch myself when he’s around since he gets on at my stop.

I assured her that I would. I always stay alert when I see him coming. If he’s already at the stop or I see him at the stop before mine, I don’t wear my headphones and make sure to pay attention. He’s weird and I’m not gonna let him catch me slipping.
