Insane Random Ramblings

I use SwagBucks as my search engine all of the time. I never win the contests though. They have a big winner every hour but I’ve never seen my name. I’m not saying that I’ve never been chosen it’s just that if you don’t check your name could come and go before you notice.

They also have a Mega Swag day every Friday where you can win larger than normal bills. I have won a few of those. But what I could never do was get all of the collector bills. They have them for most holidays including the 4th of July and Labor Day. There are usually 5 bills but I never get more than 3 or 4. Until Monday.

For Thanksgiving there were 5 bills including one that was only available on Black Friday. I got all of them except one. Then on Monday night about an hour before time expired, I finally got the last bill. I felt like I had won a marathon or something I was so excited.

For collecting all of the bills I think I got a 10 point bonus in addition to the value of all of the bills. I’m just happy I finally beat that monster!

I earn points for searching and I save them up to buy something big for myself every year.

During this week we’re having a lot of activities here at work. Yesterday was a snack which ended up being a cookie. Tomorrow is a free tailgate lunch and Friday is a “healthy snack” option. I’m not that excited about the food options though. I’m really excited about the other activities though.

We can win free “stuff” all week long. We can win either a 1/2 or a full vacation day off, a free gift certificate for lunch or even a free $25 gift card. At the end of the week, we have a grand prize drawing for 2 gps systems, 2 flat screen tv, 2 Kindles or  a IPad 2. I would love to win any of the prizes and I’m not picky at all.

At least we get a week of fun to try to make this a better work environment. Now let the games begin.

And I am not looking forward to it. I’m not going to NYC, I’m going to the Salamanca area, which is closer to Erie PA. It’s only about 4 hours away from me but it’s not a fun drive at all. One way is not bad, but if I have to do the whole round trip in one day, it’s going to be bad.

I already printed out directions but I hope I win one of the trucking gps that they’re giving away this week at work. It’s employee appreciation week and we can win lots of different prizes all week including the gps.

I may just try to entice one of my friends to go along for the ride with me, but secretly I’m enlisting another driver. Then I won’t care how long the drive is.

Boo…I am not happy either. I’ve been checking into my job for over 3 months. I actually stole the mayorship from another guy that works in the building.

So about a month ago, one of my coworkers starting using the service and checking into our work location. Now remember, I have over 2 months more check-ins than she does. Well I was off for a week on vacation but came back to my mayorship. Monday was a holiday and I was off yesterday. Guess what, she stole my mayorship!!! How is that even possible?!?!??! But the best part is that it told me I’m 3 days away from being the mayor.

That’s not even possible. Foursquare cheats. I guess it’s they’re way of ensuring that more people get to be the mayor but that’s crap. There is no way she should be the mayor when there are 444 check-ins and I have over 100 of those. 65 people have checked in and the other guy has about 80. How many could she really have?

I know it’s supposed to be fun, but I don’t like when services just randomly award and reward people for no good reason.

***Rant over***

Awww. My coworkers are happy though, haters that they are. There was a candy dish where they had all different sizes of packages of candy and you had to guess how many. I was only 9 off. The winner was 1 off though. There were 3 additional winners, but they weren’t chosen by how close they were, they were just chosen at random.

Oh well it was fun playing the game and officially being allowed to goof off during work hours.

I have “free play” again this weekend. I have about $40 to spend. I’ll take $10 of my own money and try to win like I did a couple of weeks ago. I’m up over $200 and that’s not including the money that I’ve played over the past week.

There are a couple of things that I can do with that money. I can buy a couple of new shirts, this acne treatment that I saw, or a new pair of summer shoes. I can do all of those things right now with the money that I have but why spend my money if I don’t have to?

It will be great if I win but if not, I’ll only be down a few bucks. Why not take the chance?

Yeah! I wasn’t too sure of what would happen. I’ve seen people play a little and win big but I’ve also seen people play a lot and not win at all. I took about $40 bucks with me which was way more than I had intended too. Anyway I wound up winning about $200 which is pretty cool. Now I can buy the best progesterone cream or something else on my wish list. Especially since the $200 is pure profit. I actually walked away with $250 but after putting back the $40 I started with and $10 that I bought snacks with, I came away with $200.

I think I’m done with the casinos for a while. I am not trying to give this money back.

I have so much stuff to do at home, but I’m making time to hit the casino today. I have some “free” cash to play. As anyone who gambles knows, free isn’t always free. It also depends on how much you’ve won or lost at the casino. Hypothetically you could walk away a winner and still get free cash to play but I think we all know that the vast majority of people walk away losers.

I’ll take $10-20 of my own money and then play with the house’s money. Hopefully I’ll bring some of their money home with me.

I am so hooked on Club Pogo right now that it’s ridiculous. I do have a favorite game but I’ve been playing anything that looks interesting. I play mostly Lottso and Yahtzee Party. I also like Lottso Express, Monopoly Slots and Vaults of Atlantis Slots in addition to Word Whomp! Like I said, I play a lot on their site.

I did have a free code that let me join their exclusive club free for one month. The club is good because you get to play games like Lottso and Monopoly Slots that are for members only. Club members also play games without interruptions. I was so annoyed last night when I kept seeing ads between my games.

The club is only about $30-40 per year but I’m looking to play free. I would really hate to pay just to play games.

I had some points from a program that I participate in (MCR) that I turned in for a mini grill and cooler. 2 days later I saw gift cards to some awesome places on there. They had a bunch of stores that I normally shop at but they also had Paypal. That’s the best gift ever because it’s cash and you can use cash anywhere.

The cash would have been great because there are some things in my apartment that seriously need to be updated. Some of them are my responsibility and some are my management companies responsibility. I need to buy new kitchen blinds and blinds for my bedroom. I also need a new ceiling fan because the one I have now is on it’s last leg. My management company has to steam-clean my carpet and fix the ceiling in my bedroom. After all of that is done, I’ll feel like my apartment is home again.

The next time though, I’m holding out for the cash.
