I was sicker than I thought

I feel like I’ve been run over by a steam roller - metaphorically speaking of course. But man do I feel bad. I left work early on Monday because I was weak. Then I ended up calling off of work on Tuesday and Wednesday. I did make it in today but it was a really long day. I spent the entire time I was off in bed.

I’m glad I’m feeling better because while I like being off of work, I don’t like being sick.

I’m under the weather again

Ughhh. I really should have called off from work today because I feel like crap. I have 4 vacation days left that I could have moved around so I could have today off. I thought of that once I was already on the bus on my way to work.

I was sick all weekend and I’m still feverish with a cough today. I just hope the day passes fairly quickly so I can go home and rest.

I was more tired than I thought

On Thursday of last week, I knew that I was tired and needed some rest. I felt tired and didn’t even want to stay and finish the day. Then on 2 separate occasions I had someone tell me that I looked tired or exhausted. To tell the truth, I honestly was and I was happy to have Friday off of work.

I pretty much did nothing on Friday. I watched a lot of tv. Then I went to the casino in the afternoon for a little while. I lost at the casino. Then I stopped at and got something to eat on my way back home. One of my friends called me later on in the evening and we went back to the casino, where I won. Then I went home and chilled for the rest of the weekend.

I have to admit, that day off felt great and I’m energized and ready to start the work week. And I don’t say that too often.

I hate my allergies

I never really had an allergic reaction before Monday. I am allergic to chocolate and Pepsi which are of course my two favorite things. I usually just get a fever blister when I eat too much chocolate or over 6 ounces of Pepsi. It happens with all cola products but not diet cola which is weird. 1 Pepsi or Coke and I erupt like a volcano but I can drink diet until the cows come home. Strange.

Anyway I ate a bunch of chocolate the other day and I had a reaction, which I expected, but not in the manner in which I expected. I broke out itching. Not hives because there were no welts or marks but I was itching like crazy. I tossed and turned all night because I was itching so bad. Tuesday morning I ran to CVS and got some Benadryl which made me sleepy but it did work, eventually. It took almost 2 days before the itching subsided.

At least now I have something to take when I break out into another attack.

The need to monitor my weight

My cousin is one of my blog readers and he asked me why I was so focused on losing weight. I told him that one reason is because women have a harder time losing weight the older we get. The main reason though is that excess weight causes health problems and I’ve been fairly healthy my whole life. I don’t want to wait until I’m middle-aged and have to go on a super restrictive diet or take medications because I’m unhealthy.

Of course, he’s still as skinny as a rail so he doesn’t really understand my dilemma. He did suggest that I look into Lipofuze to jump start my metabolism and weight loss. He wants me to add that to my workout regime, which I’ve restarted this week. That should take a few pounds of in a hurry.

At this point, as much as I want to take the weight off, I want to make sure it stays off.

My weight is creeping back up

About 3 weeks ago I stopped working out. There was no particular reason really, I just didn’t feel like it. Last week I felt pretty rotten all week so I wasn’t in the mood to work out. This week I’ve been sick so there was definitely no working out going on.

While I haven’t been working out, I’ve noticed that a few of those extra pounds that I had lost seem to be creeping back on. I’ve been hearing commercials for sensa and I think I may give it a try. It’s not a pill and it really just helps you moderate how much you eat which is my biggest problem.

I’ll have to move some numbers around to be able to fit it into my budget.

My weight is coming off so slowly

I guess the good news is that I am losing weight. The bad news is that it’s coming off so slowly that it’s unbearable. I bought a new pair of pants 2 weeks ago and they had so much room in them that I thought I had purchased the next larger size. But nope, it’s my regular size. I’m happy but I’m also ready for some adapexin-p to help shed some more weight. I need to get down another whole size.

Each size is 15 pounds so I have quite a bit of weight to go. Especially if you’re only supposed to lose 2 pounds per week. That’s another 8 weeks worth of working out. So we’re looking at the beginning of May if my weight loss continues on it’s current path.

Summer will be here before you know it and I want to be able to wear normal clothes instead of covering up every day.

Hey my pants fit

I bought a new pair of pants last week that I didn’t wear until today. When I put them on they felt kind of loose so I thought I had bought a bigger size. I looked at the waist band and they’re my correct size which means I’ve lost a tiny bit of weight. The only thing that I’ve done is add some exercise at least 4 days per week to my schedule. I haven’t even added the more rigorous workout yet.

Weight loss pills that work fast are still on my agenda because I have more weight to lose. But just knowing that some of the weight is coming off is very exciting and makes me want to keep up what I’ve been doing. Hopefully I’ll be down a complete size before the end of summer.

I need more vitamins

I’ve been feeling run down and drained lately and I think it’s because I need more vitamins. I do take a daily vitamin but it doesn’t seem to be enough. My friend suggested that I take her vitamins because they’re the best prenatal vitamins out there. She has a ton of extra vitamins so she’s willing to let me try a few of them. If I like them or if they work, I can get my doctor to prescribe some for me even though I’m not pregnant. Since most people taking them are pregnant, they have a ton of vitamins and minerals in them.

A good kick-start to my system is just what I need.

I need more vitamins

I’m sick again. It seems to be a trend with me that I get sick every December or January. This December I was good but here comes January and I’m sick. I missed a day of work already and I’m still feeling the effects of the cold. I have a bad cough and I’m still a little stuffy. I haven’t been taking any vitamins lately and I think I need to start taking those again. I ran out and I haven’t found any that I like since then. I need to just get something so I can help ward off the germs the next time.

I need to get my shopping list together and make sure that’s the first thing I pick up when I get in the store.
