Joke of the week

Are You Insane?

It doesn’t hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time. This little test should get you started.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criteria is that defines a patient to be institutionalized.

“Well,” said the Director, “we fill up a bathtub. We offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient, and ask the patient to empty the bathtub.”

OK, here’s your test:

1. Would you use the spoon?

2. Would you use the teacup?

3. Would you use the bucket?

“Oh, I understand,” said the visitor. “A normal person would choose the bucket as it is larger than the spoon.”

“No,” answered the Director.

========

“A normal person would pull the plug.”

Catholic Shampoo…

Shopping in a local grocery store, two nuns happened to pass by the beer, wine, and liquor section.

One asked the other if she would like a beer.

The second nun answered that, indeed, it would be very nice to have a beer, but that she would feel uncomfortable about purchasing it.

The first nun replied that she would handle that without a problem. She picked up a six-pack and took it to the cashier.

The cashier had an obviously surprised look, so the nun said, ‘This is for washing our hair.’

Without blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter and put a package of pretzel sticks in the bag with the beer.

‘The curlers are on me.’

A judge scowled down at a repeat offender before him. “Didn’t I tell you the last time you were in my court room that I never wanted to see you in here again?”

Joke of the week

While visiting Annapolis, a lady tourist noticed several students on their hands and knees assessing the courtyard with pencils and clipboards in hand.

“What are they doing?” she asked the tour guide.

“Each year,” he replied with a grin, “the upperclassmen ask the freshmen how many bricks it took to finish paving this courtyard.”

When they were out of earshot of the freshmen, the curious lady asked the guide: “So, what’s the answer?”

The guide replied: “One.”

Anybody caught breaking this rule the second time will be fined $60.

Being caught a third time will cost you $180.

Are there any questions?”

One boy raised his hand.

“How much for a season pass?”

Joke of the week

The young man ahead of my father at the flower shop was taking an unusually long time to place his order.

When the clerk asked how she could help, he explained that his girlfriend was turning 19 and he couldn’t decide whether to give her a dozen roses or 19 roses — one for each year of her life.

The woman put aside her business judgment and advised, “She may be your 19-year-old girlfriend now, but someday she could be your 50-year-old wife.”

The young man bought a dozen roses.
