Insane Random Ramblings

I had a neighbor that just moved out at the end of June. He didn’t forward his mail so some of it is still being left in his old box. The new tenant take the mail and puts it into a slot to be returned to sender.

One of my other neighbors saw a bank statement that was being returned. So she grabbed it and about 3 or 4 people took turns trying to see what was inside so they could know how much money he had. When I saw them, I grabbed the envelope and took it upstairs to the guys’ uncle so he could give it to him.

Just a note to self: make sure to forward my mail or my nosy neighbors will try to read it.

Really….What a freakin’ moron. There are so many things wrong with this that I can’t even count.

• Swerving in your car and hit a curb - drunk
• refusing a breathalizer until he was back at the station - probably drunk
• bloodshot eyes - tanked and don’t give me the left my contacts in too long mumbo jumbo
• can’t pass the field sobriety test - drunk
• couldn’t recite the alphabet - just totally tanked

I have to agree with a local radio dj that Hines needs to grow up. He’s 35 and he’s out drinking and driving like he doesn’t have a care in the world. It’s ridiculous and irresponsible no matter if he’s a “role model” or not. Besides, I think he totally just lost that designation.

And didn’t his mom ever tell him that nothing good ever comes from being out after 2am?!?!?!

When it comes to the game of love. I have a friend that I see almost every day that just broke up with his girlfriend. But she was the one that treated him badly. It’s bad because he seems to be a really nice guy and she treated him like dirt. They’ve been apart for just over a month and she’s already moved on to another guy. Needless to say my friend is pretty bent out of shape about the whole situation.

I just hope he moves on and realizes that she just wasn’t worth his time even though I know that’s easier said than done.

Yesterday I had the distinct displeasure of sitting next to this extremely weird man on the bus. He sat next to me and just started talking. At first the conversation was kinda normal but then he just went way out there. The conversation was totally inappropriate considering he doesn’t know me at all. At one point I just stared at him because I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

I started to get off of the bus early but since I didn’t know where he was getting off, I didn’t want him to try and get off and follow me. Unfortunately he stayed on the bus the entire time I did so I know he lives near me.  I think he was trying to feel me out so he could ask for my number or whatever but I’m not even remotely interested. I don’t even want to talk to him or see him on the bus ever again.

I guess I’ll be staying late at work for the next few days and catching a later bus.

I remember when Mr McNasty hands first showed up. Then he went away for a few days and then he showed up again. I thought he was weird then and I always stay vigilent when he’s around.

Well I was talking to someone that I catch the bus with and she noticed that he was strange as well. She said he wears a Taco Bell uniform but sometimes catches the bus downtown. There is no Taco Bell anywhere near downtown. Then she said that he was just acting weird in general on the bus like she expected him to start mumbling about ls2208 codes or something. She then told me to watch myself when he’s around since he gets on at my stop.

I assured her that I would. I always stay alert when I see him coming. If he’s already at the stop or I see him at the stop before mine, I don’t wear my headphones and make sure to pay attention. He’s weird and I’m not gonna let him catch me slipping.

The other day I said that my company is giving all employees a free ticket to a baseball game. Well some people had to start complaining already. The want to go with their spouse/significant other/children etc. While I understand that, it’s supposed to be a employee bonding experience type of deal. They can always buy a ticket for the people they want to go with and try to switch seats if that’s the case. Of course, they want the other people to be able to go free as well.

I’m pretty happy myself and it just proves that you can’t please some people.

Remember last week when I talked about this guy? Well he’s back at my bus stop again. He’s been there for the past few days. He’s kinda creeping me out right now. He just stands there staring. He’s always sweaty and clammy-looking like he just got off of a treadmill or something. Then he kinda looks at me then looks away then sneaks a peak back over my way.

I usually put my headphones on once I get to the bus stop but I feel like I need to be extra observant around this dude. He seems pretty weird and he gives me a bad vibe.

Yuck. I was waiting for the bus this morning and this guy walks to our stop from up the street. I don’t know why he walked because he was actually at the stop before ours. Anyway he stands there and starts scratching himself. You know, in his “special” place. I swear he must have something down there because he would scratch, stop then start over again. Both me and the other person at the bus stop noticed and the other guy shot me a “is he for real?” look.

You better believe that as soon as the bus got to our stop I got on first. I didn’t want to potentially touch anything that he put his hands on. Ewwwww what a yucky way to start the day.

I don’t even remember the post that I was going to write today. A commercial came on the radio and interrupted my entire thought process. It’s a Rent A Center commercial featuring Magic Johnson. He’s going on and on about how great it is to rent from them. He makes it seem like they’re the best thing since sliced bread.

I have no problem with people renting furniture. The feature does come in handy especially in a pinch. However, these commercials are targeted towards low income people and minorities. The type of people who rent long term and where these companies make their money. Most of the people who rent don’t have the resources to pay for furniture outright. And let’s not even pretend that they’re getting a good deal. Those payments are expensive! By the time you’ve rented for 3 or 4 months, you’ve basically paid for the item. And the majority of people keep the items way longer than that.

Sorry for the rant but I just can’t believe Magic would lend his voice to such nonsense. Then again I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. He’s just a shill out to make a quick buck like the rest of the celebrities.

I had another post all written out but then I saw the ads for his new movie. Of course “Madea” is the title character. I don’t have anything against TP but I remember a few years ago where he said that he was retiring the Madea character. He still hasn’t retired her.

I guess I’m really tired of the whole phase. It’s not even the whole drag thing either. I know he wants to send a good message but his movies are super preachy. They start to get on your nerves. But his tv shows are the worse. Most of the actors can’t act and it seems like they’re just trying to upstage each other when they’re not trying to profile for the camera.

I know he wants to make the shows seem real but the characters are stilted and it’s really insulting. I hate to say it but both of his shows come across more as a shuck n’ jive routine than real acting. I guess he wanted to portray middle class blacks but in my opinion he really missed the mark. Not every middle class black family are like the Huxtables and perfect (they’re actually upper middle but whatever), but they certainly don’t act like the people on his shows either.

I guess Tyler is on a paper chase and he’s gonna dress in drag until people get tired of it. It’s a shame really because to me he seems like a person who doesn’t stand behind his word.
