Insane Random Ramblings

I made writing one of my resolutions last year. However both of my classes in the Spring were intensive writing courses. I didn’t expect it to be that much writing when I made my resolutions. After I did all of my school work, I wasn’t in the mood to write anything else. I got discouraged once the semester was over since I hadn’t made any progress in any of my personal writing.

Maybe I’ll start writing again this year. I haven’t decided yet but I do know that I won’t put the same pressure on myself that I did last year.

I haven’t been able to write at all. First I had a mid-term that was on the 3rd. I figured I would catch up during the rest of the week. Then I found out my Mom was sick and I couldn’t concentrate to write at all. Today is the 11th and I haven’t written a thing.

I could wait until next year and try again but I think I have a solution for me. November is 30 days long. I’ll wait until the 15th and start writing for the last 15 days of the month. Instead of the 50,000 word goal, I’ll strive for 25,000 words. I like to talk and I’m long-winded so the word count shouldn’t be a problem. But I often write 2 or more stories at one time so focusing on just one story might be a little hard for me.

I plan on trying it and seeing where I end up.

I’ve started my short stories again. It’s really hard to get started again though. I have all of these ideas but they come faster than I can write or type them down. I’m especially frustrated because I lost a ton of work that I had already done. When my computer crashed, I lost 3 partially completed stories. 1 was 1/4 of the way done and the other 2 were coming along nicely.

You can best believe I’m saving everything on my flash drive this time.
