Insane Random Ramblings

I got on the bus to come home from work the other day and the bus was super hot. I noticed that almost all of the windows were open and the top vents in the front and back of the bus were open. Then I sat down and realized just how hot it really was. I was baking. My bus ride is about a half hour and it was just terrible. The bus was also crowded with people standing in the aisles for most of the trip just generating body heat.

By the time I got off of the bus I was hot and sweaty. It was over 90 degrees and it seemed cooler outside than it was on the bus. I got in the house and laid down and was never so happy to be home. I wasn’t mad or upset that the air was broken but I sure hope the bus is fixed now.

I was shocked when I heard the news. The last time they threatened to take off the show, Congressmen and the viewing public stepped up and created a ruckus. So much so that the powers that be decided to keep the show on. I’m hoping that’s what happens this time.

I do understand that Fox isn’t making any money on the show but c’mon. They want to cancel AMW and replace it with reruns of shows that are currently showing. Really?!?!?! Who wants to see reruns of Lie to Me or any of the others shows that they have on? I don’t even watch Fox except for AMW and baseball games.

It’s a sad day for television but at least the criminals are happy with this decision. Spot on Fox…you sucktastic station you.

Yesterday when I got on the bus to go home, I noticed that it had a “dog” smell. I don’t have any pets and I pretty much don’t like pets so my nose is pretty sensitive to animal smells. I tried to sit as far away from the smell as possible but it had permeated almost the entire bus. It hadn’t rained yesterday so I don’t understand why the smell was so intense.

A few stops after I got on, a lady got on and sat next to me. She smelled like a bar and like she had just come off of a several day bender. I have friends that take medication so I understand that it can come through your pores and smell like booze. It wasn’t a heavy smell but more than I wanted to deal with going home from work.

Hopefully today the bus won’t have any exciting or exotic smells.

Yesterday my coworker and I were waiting for our food in a pizza shop. The tv was turned to CNN. They did a “power ranking” of the most dangerous cities in the country. I knew Camden would be at the top and they didn’t disappoint. They were #2 for violent crimes for a city of its’ size. The number #1 most dangerous city is St. Louis which kinda surprises me. I didn’t think St. Louis was that bad.

The top five “winners” are:

1. St Louis, Missouri
2. Camden, New Jersey 
3. Detroit, Michigan
4. Flint, Michigan
5. Oakland, California

Hold your head up high Camden. You’re no longer The Most Dangerous City. Can you feel the sarcasm coming off of my keyboard?!?!?!

And the day before the best holiday of the year too! I didn’t feel well on Monday or Tuesday but today I really feel bad. I’m feverish and clammy at the same time. I did buy some DayQuil to take but I don’t have any food in my system and I don’t want to upset my stomach any more than already is. I’ll have to wait until lunch time then I take the pills with my food.

I can’t wait until this day is over and I can go home and rest!

I was walking towards my bus stop after work and I noticed a large group of teenagers on the opposite side of the street. That’s not really unusual since most of them are hanging out downtown for a few hours after school. I was surprised by the sheer number of kids though.

Just as I got close to them, I heard alot of shouting and noticed that there was a lot of movement into the street. I turned my head and saw 2 seperate fights and both fights were girls. In the one fight, I saw the smaller girl trying to rip off the larger girl’s shirt.

I stayed on my side of the street and kept walking. I didn’t want to get caught up in the madness. I hadn’t even taken 10 steps when the first police car showed up. By the time I had gotten almost a block away, there were already 3 cars with several police officers.

While I’m curious as to what eventually happened, I wasn’t about to stand around and watch it. It always seem to be the innocent bystanders that get caught up in the madness and I wasn’t gonna let that happen to me. 

Ughh today is not a good day. I was reaching for my morning cup of Joe when I knocked it over. There was coffee everywhere. It was all over my desk, under the keyboard and even in the boxes underneath my desk. Needless to say, it spilled all over my pants and on one of the brand new shirts that I had just gotten. It even soaked my fat burner pill that I was gonna take after break. I had to hurry up and take it because it started dissolving on my desk.

Now I’ll spend the next 5 hours reeking of coffee. I hope nothing else goes wrong today. I can’t wait to get home and change.

Yuck. I was waiting for the bus this morning and this guy walks to our stop from up the street. I don’t know why he walked because he was actually at the stop before ours. Anyway he stands there and starts scratching himself. You know, in his “special” place. I swear he must have something down there because he would scratch, stop then start over again. Both me and the other person at the bus stop noticed and the other guy shot me a “is he for real?” look.

You better believe that as soon as the bus got to our stop I got on first. I didn’t want to potentially touch anything that he put his hands on. Ewwwww what a yucky way to start the day.

It’s on both of my blogs too. I just noticed it the other day and I have no idea how to fix it. I may have to go and re-update my templates but I want to keep the same ones that I have now. It took me long enough to find these and I don’t want to go through the drama of looking through hundreds of templates again.

Now I can’t perform certain functions on my posts. I can’t bold or highlight anything. It also doesn’t give me the option to link to other posts or add links. I have to go old-school and add everything by hand. Having the options on the tool bar to just click and update things made me lazy!

I guess I’ll add things through trial and error and hope I get them right.

In my short post yesterday I alluded to the fact that my week started off pretty badly. Here’s a rundown:

1. I got up on time but I spent too much time in the shower/getting dressed and I was late getting out of the house. That caused me to miss my bus which isn’t a big deal but it lead to my second mini-disaster.
2. It was raining not too bad at first but then the skies opened up and it started pouring. My umbrella was no help especially since I had to stand outside for almost 15 minutes. My hair turned into a complete frizzball after looking nice for the past few days. I was also completely soaked on my right side. My coat was wet well into the afternoon from being so wet.
3. After I got on the bus and paid, I noticed that there were no seats so I had to stand. I usually get back off of those kind of buses but it was still raining hard so I sucked it up. I almost fell at one point because we took a corner so hard. But I thought everything was finally evening out until….
4. I got my hand and arm caught in the back door of the bus. The back doors generally don’t open at that stop so I was surprised when he opened them. His reasoning? I was standing there so he thought I wanted to get off. Ummmm No! There were no open seats and no where else to stand. Luckily I was semi paying attention and was able to snatch my hand and arm away before any real damage was done. My hand was pretty tender so..
5. I called off work. Not only did I burn on of my few remaining days but I burned the bus tickets too since I was already close to home.

All in all it was a pretty rotten day!
